In Arabic, it literally means “half-half.” Unlike a cappuccino or latte, this half-espresso, half- foamed milk is the perfect in between. Always served in a small glass.

Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 1 shot espresso
- ¼ cup milk (2% works best)
- First, get your espresso ready if it takes a few minutes.
- Foam your milk. If you have a milk frother, use that, but you can also use a jar with a lid on it. Fill jar with milk and shake vigorously for a minute. Then, microwave for 30 seconds. Cover and shake a little more and you will have amazing foamed milk.
- Spoon foamed milk into bottom of small glass until it’s filled halfway. Then, pour espresso shot directly over milk. Serve immediately.
