It keeps us healthy.
It stops inflammation, the cause of almost every major sickness. Keep it circulating right and the human body is an amazing thing, constantly flushing out the bad, and absorbing the good.
The best ways to improve and maintain good circulation is through diet and exercise- of course.
Assuming we got the exercise part down (I know I’m still working on that), what are the best foods we can eat to improve circulation?
There are tons out there. Mostly, if it’s classified as “healthy” than it’s probably good for your circulation.
I like to keep 3 in mind, just to make sure I am always adding that special touch that can boost my circulation, providing they are tasty too of course!
So, here are my 3 Favorite Foods for Better Circulation, and how to use them!
1. Garlic
With anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, this super food will make your gut very happy. It is a super de-toxifier ingredient and fights off sickness.
That’s a great thing because every time I cook with Garlic it takes me straight to Italy or France!
2. Ginger
But, many Americans don’t know how to incorporate ginger into their diet. My favorite is in Carrot-Ginger Soup, Vegan Spring Rolls, Asian Salad Dressing, and Ginger and Honey Tea.
3. Cayenne Pepper
Another heat up kind-of-spice. This is another detoxifier that will help improve your body’s immunity.
Add just a little to your smoothies, Garlic Roasted Potatoes, soups, or bean dishes like Tuscan White Bean Stew.
Keep it spicy!
