Almost Famous Applesauce Muffins

The reason I say “almost famous” is simply because you probably have not tried them yet. But, as far as I know, everyone who has ever tried this muffin raves about them. So, you have yet to come over and give them a try. This recipe was given to me by my mother who I think still makes them better than I do, probably because the extra love she puts in. But, before we can take all the credit for these glorious muffins, we must thank the one who bestowed it onto us. My mom got the recipe from my older brother’s, Ricky’s, preschool cookbook that all the mothers in the class complied. One mother was generous enough to share this recipe. This recipe not only satisfies preschoolers, but adults alike. I see it as the ultimate American recipe, because it calls for applesauce, an American necessity. Seemed like the perfect morning breakfast with the American Glory Day around the corner.

I wouldn’t call this recipe secret, but it is not my own so I  cannot publish it here. I would love to teach it to you if you would like to come over, though. The recipe is pretty simple for a muffin recipe. Its a great muffin to serve at breakfast event-meetings, as I have done, or, as an early morning surprise that your household will surely smell, before they get out of bed.
The recipe makes about 16 muffins, giving each muffin cup a hefty amount of batter. Don’t skimp.

Baking away in the oven. They only take about 25 minutes, but should be rotated halfway through for even baking.
